Ans. Only a few hundred fish eggs of the are laid hatch because most eggs are eaten by bigger fish and other predators.
Q2. What is reproduction?
Ans. The process by which living beings produce young ones of their own kind is called reproduction.
Q3. How do mammals take care of their young ones?
Ans. Mammals look after their young ones by keeping them clean, warm and protecting them from enemies, climatic changes and other hazards.
Q4.Why do eggs of reptiles have a leathery and elastic outer covering?
Ans. Reptiles lay eggs in holes in the ground. The shells of reptile eggs are leathery and elastic so that they do not break when they are laid on the ground.
