LANDFORMS - About 70% of the Earth's surface is covered with water and the remaining 30% is land. The land is high in some places and low or flat in others. This unevenness gives rise to its various physical features such as mountains , valleys, plateaus, plains and deserts.These physical features are called landforms or relief features.
MOUNTAIN - A mountain is a landform higher than the surrounding areas.
A series of mountains arranged in a line is called a mountain range.
The top of the mountain is called a peak.
Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world.
